Before 2025 Angelika Czubasiewicz, visual artist and art performer.
Born in Silesia, she has been living and working in Amsterdam for several years. Her practice spans painting, performance, and installation, combining performative actions with participatory and educational processes. In her work, she explores identity, gender, religion, and experiences of migration, often drawing on the symbolism of the family farm and her rural upbringing.
She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice (MFA, 2023) and completed the Erasmus+ programme at FBAUP in Porto.
Her work has been presented in solo exhibitions, including “Hairline” (Galeria EL, Elbląg) and “Blood of Roots” (Jak Zapomnieć Gallery, Kraków), as well as in numerous group exhibitions in Poland and across Europe (Galeria Met, Berlin; The Grey Space, The Hague; Rondo Sztuki, Katowice; OKNa, Porto).
She is the founder of ARENA Art Space, an organisation developing educational and socially engaged projects in the field of performance across Europe.
She has participated in artistic residencies, including Culture Moves Europe (Ubiškės, Lithuania) and DOOR Creative Studio (Amsterdam).
